Important Information about Sports Medicine Curriculum in High Schools
Arkansas Athletic Training Students selected for conference.
Henderson State University senior Robbie Simonek and two University of Central Arkansas senior athletic training students Sarah Walters and Richelle VanWagoner have been selected to represent the Arkansas Athletic Trainers' Association (AATA) at the National Athletic Trainers' Association Leadership Program in Washington , D.C. , February 21-23, 2009.
The three students will participate in interactive sessions at the program to develop leadership skills, and help prepare them for future participation in the NATA's StarTrack Program. This event will be held in conjunction with the 2009 Hill Day Campaign and the Athletic Training Educator's Conference, as students will also be afforded the opportunity to engage in the legislative process.
The program, entitled "iLead!" (Lead, Engage, Activate, Develop) is limited to 150 students nationwide. These students were selected from applicants currently enrolled in approved athletic training education curriculum programs at various colleges and universities around the state
