The SWATA educational sessions started today and choices is the name of the game. Tina Bonci and her Program Committee has done an excellent job of providing quality speakers on diverse topics. Concurrent sessions with choices of topics and learning formats allow the SWATA members to choose what is best for them. The morning session was highlighted with two different concurrent sessions, Corrent Medical Concerns for the University/College Athletic Trainer and Special Topics in Health and Safety for the Secondary School Athletic Trainer. The afternoon concurrent sessions focus on Emerging Legal Issues in Sports Medicine, Teaching and Learning in the Age of Information Techmology, Dealing with 21st Century Communications: Social Media, the Internet and the Public, and Hot Topics in Nutritional Interventions.
Following the concurrent sessions is the SWATA Town Hall meeting and the State Forums. This is your opportunity to find out information on the current issues in athletic training. If you have any questions, this is your opportuntiy to ask and have them answered.
